This is a gi tournament.

The tournament is in standard belt divisions (white, blue, purple etc) and is open weight. Normal IBJJF rules on permissible techniques will apply – for example, no wrist locks at white belt.

There will be a 10 minute time limit for all matches (15 minutes for finals). At the end of regulation time, if no submission has been secured then neither competitor will progress in the competition.

If a submission is in place at the end of regulation time – for example competitor A is attempting to finish an armbar on competitor B or A has B’s back and has a choke in place – then the match will be allowed to continue for a maximum of 1 minute until either: the submission is completed or B escapes.

The competition will begin promptly at 10:00am.

Please allow plenty of time to park and enter the hall.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division and to the fastest submission of the day. The event is sponsored by Masaru Fight Co.

The entry fee for the competition is £5.00.

Training has started already but for those of you unaware of the details please follow this link for details on entry and the full address in Cardiff.

The Wednesday evening class (8.30pm – 10pm) shall be set aside for all competition preparation.
